Hey guys!

Is there really such a thing as lower abs? Apparently, when you are doing leg raises and other exercises to target the “lower abs” you are actually hitting a muscle connected to the pelvis behind the lower abs (which is why people believe there are lower abs). However, some sources believe that they do exist.

Any opinions or facts would be great.

I don’t think that individual abs work like that. I think they work as a whole and everything I’ve seen confirms that, but I don’t have fact to back it up. I just squat and deadlift and my abs are just fine.

My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. She is 97 now & we don’t know where the hell she is!

The only reason I would take up jogging is so I could hear heavy breathing again!.

I joined a health club last year, spend about 400 bucks. Haven’t lost a pound!. Apparently you have to show up?

I have to exercise in the morning before my brain figures out what i’m doing.

I don’t exercise at all. If God meant us to touch our toes, he would have put them further up our body.

I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.

I have flabby thights, but fortunabely my stomach covers them.

The advantage of exercising every day is that you die healthier.

If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small
country!.

Do fifteen minutes of exercise a day for a week or two and increase the exercise by five minutes each day until you are up to half an hour each day. Doing too much will only give you a sore body and may make starting exercise harder for you. Starting slower is best for you and you’ll get great results.

Get an exercise buddy. Many experts say that when you do anything with a buddy, you are more likely to stick with it. Getting an exercise buddy is an ideal way to creating an exercise routine to increase your weight loss. A great exercise for dieters to do is walking. Walking is a gentle exercise that people of many different exercise levels can do easily. You can take a half hour walk with your buddy each day and have a great conversation as you walk along. Or take a fun class together, like spinning, yoga or pilates.

Make exercise fun. The true secret to exercise is that a dieter needs to make it fun. They need to make exercise entertaining. Choose exercises that interest you. Some people prefer group activities, so taking a class would be ideal for them. Others like solo activities, so swimming or running could be a great exercise for them. Find the exercise that works with your personality and body.

Mix it up! Our bodies get used to our workouts. It is critical that you do different types of workouts do exercise all of your body. You need to challenge yourself physically and to surprise yourself so your body doesn’t quite know what to expect all the time. Would you like a flat stomach exercise or 2 that you can do at home quickly? If so, I’m going to share with you a couple of the best exercises for a flat stomach that you can do in the privacy of your home. You DON’T NEED to go to a gym to get rid of belly fat. You can effectively reduce your waist size at home in a shorter amount of time than you can going to a gym and using all that fancy equipment.


1. Use an ab wheel

Back in the 1990′s these were popular. Surprisingly, it’s 1 of the few “abs gadgets” that actually worked. It’s strange that this has lost some of it’s popularity because it was extremely effective at toning your abs and flattening your belly. Obviously you’ll have to go to someplace like Wal-Mart or a sporting goods store to buy one of these things. Or you can try the Amazon website. They generally cost around or so.

Once you have it, get on your knees or toes and grab the handles while your chest is over the ab wheel. Basically, you’re in push-up position. Now slowly roll it out in front of you focusing the tension on your abs. Once you’ve gone far enough away from your body, roll it back in to the starting position.

You will only need to do 3 sets of as many as possible every other day to start seeing results with this.

2. Sucking in your lower belly and holding it

This exercise is more commonly known as the vacuum pose. It was made popular by that California Governor guy… Arnold (long last name that’s hard to spell). He used it to lose inches from his waist while he was a bodybuilder.

For women, don’t worry.

This exercise allows you to lose a few inches without looking anything like a guy or a bodybuilder. The key to this working is the immense amount of isometric tension that’s created within the abdominal wall cavity. Basically, you’re tightening it up which brings it in further (while improving your posture).

You can realistically lose 2-3 inches from your waist in a month doing this for 5-20 minutes a day. You can do these sitting, lying down, or how I prefer… standing up. I like to do these during commercials so I can free up time for myself. The main flat stomach exercise is the vacuum pose listed in number 2. However, both are great exercises for a flat stomach.
